Image from Mrs. Maryann Leo

From Mrs. Maryann Leo:

My uncle Fred Fiducia,  was a boxer in Newark, who left his mark on ring history by being one of only two boxers who competed in every division from flyweight to heavyweight (the other was Georges Carpentier (web site is off site) of France).

The above photo is of Fred with his manager, Sam Rose, taken in 1926 when Fred was 13 years old.  When Fred retired from the ring after 22 years, he owned a corner ice cream parlor on Ferry Street  several blocks from Madison Street.
