The statue of Monsignor Doane, dedicated in 1908 and designed by William Clark Noble, is made of bronze and located in Doane Park, a small triangle north of Trinity Church. It is a standing figure, in ecclesiastical robes, commemorating the Rt. Rev. George W. Doane, a distinguished prelate of the Roman Catholic Diocese in Newark. The simple inscription on the pedestal reads "Monsignor Doane."
